FOR PARENTS OF TAMARIKI AGED 0–5
Nurturing Play is a warm, practical space for parents who want to understand their child's play without the overwhelm, the Pinterest pressure, or the feeling that they're always a step behind.

An early childhood teacher, Centre Advisor, and mum of two daughters based in Aotearoa New Zealand. I've spent over a decade working with young children and their whānau here in Aotearo. The longer I do this work, the more I notice the gap between what children actually need and what the world keeps telling parents to do instead.
Nurturing Play exists for parents who feel that tension and want the knowledge and the framework to trust their instincts.
"Children learn through play: by doing, asking questions, interacting with others, devising theories about how things work and then trying them out and by making purposeful use of resources. As they engage in exploration, they begin to develop attitudes and expectations that will continue to influence their learning throughout life".
(Ministry of Education, Te Whāriki, 2017, p.46).

THE NURTURING PLAY PROMISE
Right now, you might be:
Scrolling Instagram at 11pm, wondering why everyone else's living room looks nothing like yours
Googling milestones and ending up more anxious than when you started
Buying toys that get played with once and then forgotten
Feeling the quiet weight of 'am I doing enough?' at the end of every day
What if the answer wasn't more activities, more toys, or a better schedule? What if it was a new way of seeing what your child is already doing?
That's what Nurturing Play gives you. A clear, practical framework grounded in real early childhood research and built for real families.
